Dear gentle follower,

We hear you.

This question you’re carrying, though simple on the surface, holds a weight that so many silently carry. And if no one has ever told you this yet, let us be the first:
Yes, you can be gay and not act feminine.
Yes, you can be gay and not wear makeup.
Yes, you can be gay and love sports, speak low, walk straight, and dress in jeans and tees.
Yes, you can be gay and just be you.

Because being gay is not a costume you put on. It is not a role you play. It is not defined by your gestures, your voice, your fashion, or your movements. It is your truth. It is your heart. It is your love.
You don’t have to twirl to be valid.
You don’t have to sway your hips to be seen.
You don’t have to glitter to belong.

Sometimes, the world tricks us into thinking that gayness must look a certain way. Sometimes, even our own community gets lost in stereotypes. But the truth is that queerness is not a performance. It’s a deeply personal, powerful, and beautiful part of you. And it can be soft. It can be strong. It can be subtle or loud, colorful or neutral.

You belong whether or not the world understands how you carry your queerness. You are still whole, still worthy, and still part of this rainbow, even if you don’t shine the same way as others do.
Please never feel like you need to “act” a certain way just to be accepted. Don’t dim your light trying to match someone else’s brightness. And don’t force yourself into boxes that were never made for you.
You are allowed to be quiet.
You are allowed to be masculine.
You are allowed to be different.
Because the most beautiful thing you can be is YOU.

Here at FTS LOBO, we celebrate every shade of who you are,
Even the ones others ignore.
Even the ones hidden behind silence and fear.
Even the ones still learning how to love themselves.

And in case no one’s ever told you:
You are not less.
You are not confused.
You are not invisible.
You are not alone.
You are gay.
And you are deeply, deeply loved.

Always rooting for your peace,
Always standing beside you,
Always reminding you that you are enough,
FTS LOBO Organization Inc.
