A CUT ABOVE LOVE: A Story of Care and Celebration
In Honor of the Amazing Women of Lobo

It was a day filled with gentle laughter, soft conversations, and the quiet buzz of clippers. Under the shade of hope and the warmth of community, the women of Lobo gathered not just to receive a free haircut or have their brows shaped, but to be reminded of something far deeper: they are seen, they are valued, they are loved.

As part of the celebration of Women’s Month, FTS LOBO Organization Inc. opened its arms wide offering time, skill, and heart in the form of our Free Haircut at Eyebrow Shaping activity. Women of all ages came, some shy, some excited, some bringing their loved ones along. And in every smile exchanged, there was a feeling we all shared: BELONGING.

Though the activity was dedicated to women, what made it more beautiful was how that love extended beyond them. Partners, children, even friends of different gender identities were welcomed with the same care. Because in Lobo, and in the heart of FTS LOBO, love does not ask who you are. It simply shows up and embraces you.

This day would not have been possible without the people who always remind us what true public service looks like. To our steadfast adviser, Mayora Lota Lazarte Manalo, thank you for guiding us with compassion and purpose. Your presence is our strength.

As an LGBT-led organization, FTS LOBO carries more than rainbow colors. We carry commitment. Commitment to serve, to uplift, and to love, boldly and openly. We will continue to lead not just with scissors and supplies, but with sincerity and soul.

To those who weren’t captured in photos, please know that your presence was felt deeply. You are part of this story. And like all stories worth telling, yours will stay with us.

And to every woman who sat in our chair, thank you for trusting us, even for just a few moments, to help you feel refreshed, renewed, and reminded of your beauty.

This was more than a grooming day. It was a love story.
One that we hope to tell again and again, in many forms, for many hearts.
