Bayanihan Beyond the Storm: FTS Lobo’s Heart for the People of Lobo
When Typhoon Uwan brought heavy rains and strong winds to the town of Lobo, Batangas, it also brought out something far greater, the spirit of compassion and unity.
Amid the uncertainty and fear that come with every storm, members of FTS Lobo Organization Inc. (LGBTQIA+ and Allies) stood side by side with the community, extending their hands and hearts to those in need. Joining the noble initiative of Batangas 2nd District Board Member Dra. Reina Abu-Reyes and Former Congressman Raneo Abu, our members took part in preparing food packs for the evacuees, simple meals made with care, warmth, and hope.
Each pack carried a message: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. In every spoonful, we hoped to bring comfort to families displaced by the storm, to mothers calming their children, and to elders waiting for better weather and brighter days.
This act of service reminded us why we do what we do. FTS Lobo is a family that believes in kindness without boundaries. Whether you identify as LGBTQIA+ or as an ally, what binds us together is our shared humanity and our love for our hometown, Lobo.
As we worked hand in hand with the dedicated rescuers and volunteers, we were reminded that true strength is found in togetherness. The storm may have tested our resilience, but it also revealed the beauty of our collective heart.
FTS Lobo extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who chose to serve, to care, and to stand in love amid the storm. Together, we proved once again that when the skies grow dark, our compassion will always shine brighter.
