A Heartfelt Moment of Truth, Courage, and Hope

There are moments that go beyond celebration. These are the moments that touch the soul, awaken courage, and plant seeds of hope. Today was one of them.

FTS LOBO Organization Inc. is overflowing with pride as our beloved President, Ms. Leah Detaunon, stood before the students and faculty of Masaguitsit-Banalo National High School as the Resource Speaker for their Pride Celebration, themed “Pride and Prejudice: A Journey Towards Acceptance and Inclusivity.”

With every word she spoke, President Leah didn’t just share knowledge, she shared her heart. She carried with her the stories of every LGBTQIA+ person who once felt unseen, unheard, unloved. In front of young people still discovering who they are, she became a living reminder that it is okay to be different, and that there is strength in softness, power in truth, and purpose in love.

Tears were held, smiles were exchanged, and hearts were touched. Her message echoed far beyond the walls of the school:

“Being true to yourself is not just brave, it’s beautiful. And when you use that truth to uplift others, you change the world.”

To witness our President take the spotlight, not for praise, but to serve, to empower, and to inspire was a moment of deep pride for all of us. It reminded us why we do what we do. Why we fight, why we love, and why we continue.
